I am You

Without

anticipation or regret, I

wander an incandescent landscape

where memory and imagination

provide no reference;

 I open my mouth and

only syllables of

awe exhale -

the respiration of wonder,

the breathing heart of all creation.

In

 two-not-two

there’s one of us that’s

me and you, with no imposter

between us.

Every murmur of your

quietest breath resonates like

Shanti waterfalls in me;

every slightest lift of your

eyes rains vision after

vision in me;

even the subtle movements in

your sleep are made of

all that moves me;

I move closer to you, though

between us no distance exists, no

fold within this bed of emptiness not

imbued with the mysterious gravity of

our weightless past, our feather of a future.

When you suddenly appear before me,

again and again, as if there had never been

anything ever appearing before, as if

there has only been this moment,

mirrored now in our innocent

simplicity of being –

the way I remember,

all the way down to the marrow,

whose blood flows in who’s veins, who

permeates itself in bliss, swoons in its own kiss,

magnifies itself as this, of which there’s never been an other –

I know who you are.

I am you.
