To answer to your last question:

"To whom is the dream...a dream?"

But, first let me say a couple of things...

Nothing comes to a dreamer but a "dream". And those who "dream" are merely "asleep". The realization of the "dream" does not mean the "sleeper" has "awakened".

Realization of the nature of the dream, i.e...............as an expressioning having no independent existence of its own,............. does not exist without a "dreamer" cognizer the dream, ..............is awakening.

For the one who is "awakened" no longer "sleeps", thus no longer "dreams."

No,

Dreaming, i.e, living in a phenomenal sense, will continue, if the apparatus, the body-mind complex, continues to be "alive", after the conceptual event of awakening.

A sage, defined as a body-mind complex, in which apperception has occurred, if still "alive", ..........lives in the same duality as a clown in a circus.

An deals with the same issues that living entails.

In the "sage", there is just no sense of entitification, ........no "me",....... to have a stake in the unfolding dream, in the moment.

Dream is not the issue.

The issue is prefering one portion of the dream in contrast to the rest.

In the preference, is the "me" and the appearance of the world.

In the preference is the birth of seeking,

Now seeking whether it was for your mother's breast as an infant,.....

.......or icons of pleasure as an adult,.....

.........or validations of self-identity through relationships, activity, ideations, understandings, achievements etc,....

.......or spiritual bromides aka Truth, Moksha, Enlightenment, Self-Realization, now,....

.... there is no difference in the essence of the various forms of seeking, isn't it?

The end of all seeking is the end of the seeker entity.

Does not mean that a sage will not look for food when hungry or move his or her ass, rapidly out of the way of an on-coming bus on the road. <LOL>

And those who "sleep" are like the "Dead" lying "sleep" in their graves. Dreamers are too busy "sleeping" and "dreaming" (partaking in the things that are untrue and unreal), to partake in that which is "True & Real".

And can that which is "true and real", exist without the contrasting "untrue and unreal"?

What is "good", unless "bad" is defined?

What is a "saint", without a "sinner" being around?

"True/untrue", "real/unreal", "good/bad", "saint/sinner", .......... all have a relevance only within a dreaming gestalt.

This discussion is in a dreaming gestalt.

When this entire phenomenality is a dreaming gestalt, any hoopla within the gestalt is all conceptual, isn't it?

Signatures on flowing waters, in a dream sequence.

Even those who "dream" and KNOW its a "dream" still continue to "sleep." Because to discover that something is NOT TRUE or REAL does not mean that the TRUTH is KNOWN. For example: A liar can tell a lie, and it be discovered that a lie was told...but, just because the lie was DISCOVERED & EXPOSED, doesn't mean that the TRUTH is known.

How else, will you cognize the lie to be a "Lie", without first defining what is the truth?

When both the "Lie" and the contrasting "Truth", ..........BOTH.......... cease to be of relevance..........what is,.........IS.

So now that you KNOW its ALL a "dream", so NOW WHAT?

LOL

A dreamed up character in a dream sequence asks "so NOW WHAT?"

So now what?

Nothing

or

Whatever you are moved to do, or not to do.

Whatsoever.

All your "doings", "ceasing of doings", all your ideations, beliefs, value systems about True/Untrue, Real/Unreal, good/bad, saint/sinner, all your understandings of the dream itself........

....... nuances of the much ado of a dream sequence.....

So, to answer your question: "To whom is the dream...a dream?"

To anyone who is truly searching and seeking the Truth.

Indeed.

And suggest ,...........that very seeking, ...........a hoopla within a dream sequence.

Invite an investigation, .................on the independent existential reality of this "thingy" called "a seeker"

And invite a pondering on how can you seek something about which you have no cognition of.

For if you had a cognition of Truth, ................you are already TRUTH ............and thus why would you bother with the hoopla of seeking what you already ARE.

Thus to whom, is the dream a dream, ..............that who, is not outside the dream..

Dooobeee Doobeee Dooooo
