A venerated Indian sage used to say, when you climb to the top of a (typically Indian) house,
you find that the roof is made
of the same 'stuff' as the stairs, walls, etc
that make up
the rest of the house.
It's a notion that everything is made of something……. and it's the always the same something.
In other words…….. a conceptually based sense of unity depending on an idea……
….. because there is no stuff that everything is made from.
Directly experiencing………… there is no stuff involved…
…. just this moment as is…….. as this experience is sensed.
Sensed, sensing, sensor …….. indivisible.
Looking at a tree……. there is just that immediacy of "tree-seeing" ……
..which includes…… feet on ground, eye movement……..and whatever is involved at that instant.
Difference literally and immediately ……..is this non-division.
Difference………. immediately as experienced………. in all its textures……. is not different.
This-that-is………….. is not different from something else ……
…. there is nothing else other-than, or apart or separated …
…..which could be held up for a contrast and a difference to be observed and affirmed.
This-that-is….. is not in a state of comparison ……..with something else .
The appearance of differences………- in texture……… in sound…
… in color……. in warmth ……in sight….
…seemingly effected … …..and which does affect....
.... this immediacy of non-division.
