The Bhagvad Gita is the dialogue between Krihsna and Arjun on the battlefield of Kurushektra.

Arjun, the warrior non-pareil on his time, sees across him on the battlefield, in form of his beloved grandfather, his revered Guru who taught him everything, his cousins, his kith and kin, ....all arranged as foes, with whom he has to battle.

Faced with the prospects of killing his loved ones, Arjun loses his composure, his strength, his mental focus and lays down his arms.

It's then that Krishna who is Arjun's chariorteer, speaks to Arjun and the collation of that dialogue

is the Bhagvad Gita.

The word Gita, means a song.

The beauty of many of the scriptures that birthed in India, is that they are open-ended, they are a pointing.

Which thus allows the seeker, to see for himself or herself, appercieve afresh, not have a gospel etched-in-stone, forced down the throat.

Thus the Gita gets sung again and again, not the re-runs of a recorded tape.

Which also allows the corruption, for the dialogue between Krishna and Arjun, is so easy to adapt and use to achieve whatever objective you have in mind. That is how the Organized Religion labeled Hinduism came into existence, through the corruption and through the later on additions to what was essentially a song,

a song, sung in the moment.

There is a record that when after the war Arjun asked Krishna to re-state what he did say on the battlefield,  Krishna replied,........the moment gone, can never be repeated.

The essence of the chat session between the dude Krishna and Arjun.......

Therefore get up. Prepare to fight and win glory. Conquer your enemies and enjoy a flourishing kingdom. They are already put to death by My arrangement, and you, O Savyasaci, can be but an instrument in the fight.

PURPORT

Savya-sacin refers to one who can shoot arrows very expertly in the field; thus Arjuna is addressed as an expert warrior capable of delivering arrows to kill his enemies. "Just become an instrument": nimitta-matram. This word is also very significant. The whole world is moving according to the plan of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and being actualized through the billions and billions of "instruments".

What is to happen, has already happened,, the Total Picture is already,......... IS.................you are an instrument through which that is getting actualized..........that's the essence of that chat session, between Krishna and Arjun.

If you are only a nimitta, an instrument of divinity, through which divinity works, functions, moment to moment to moment, .....

.....what independent goal or objective , whether spiritual or material,........can you ever have,..... and go through all the hoopla that you believe is needed ........in order to achieve?

If you are only a nimitta, what enlightenment, what moksha, can an instrument ever hope to achieve?

Who is to achieve anything, in what is an instrument of divinity?

If all that is to happen, HAS ALREADY HAPPENED, what is the sanctity of the spiritual prescriptions and placebos, that are doled out, in the hope that in following them, a state of bliss can be reached?

As an instrument, as a nimitta you have found myself, .....through various events, various circumstances, none of which was under your control, (what control, what volition can a nimitta ever have).....you have found yourself in that station of life, doing whatever you are doing in the moment.

Whether that be feeding the poor or fleecing them for whatever they have.

As a nimitta, whatever is getting done through an instrument, .......that can only be exactly what divinity wishes to achieve through you as a nimitta of that functioning, in that moment.

Next moment, you are moved to chuck the whole spiritual hoopla away and go back to the world of chasing material comforts, including the hunk in that single's bar, or back to finishing an unfinished education, or whatever.............

...........if so,......... that can only be, once again the wish of divinity to be achieved, in that/those

........moment (s) through you as an instrument of that functioning.

As an instrument of divinity, you can only be a flute, through which Divinity can whisper, unhindered, un-obstructed.

And the unhindered, un-obstructed, whispering through a flute,...........a beautiful song is rendered.

If you can truly apperceive just this essence of the Gita,.... ......the nimmita and the happening already happened..........

......about what will you be anxious about?

.........what will you fear?

.........what can ever make you insecure?

.........what will you HAVE to achieve?

---About what can you feel guilty about

----For what can you take pride in?

No fear

No guilt

No anxiety

No pride

No insecurity

Nothing that HAS to be achieved

Nothing that HAS to be avoided

No craving

No shunning

And........

.....a full and complete participation in Life,

with whatever life serves you in the moment, whatsoever, the moment appears to be .....

....in a gestalt of total acceptance, total surrender, total serenity.

Apperception does not mean that Life turns into a bed of roses,

...that no "difficult" moments arise to be faced, no pain ever arises....

They all may happen, along with "good" moments.

Both the "bad" moments and the "good" moments,..........

.....they are then like sliding raindrops on a clean window pane.

They run down smoothly, for there are no dust particles on the window pane,

to form mud puddles.

Thus, ..........nothing HAS to be done,

and yet doing whatever you are moved to, in the moment.

Moment to moment to moment
