You keep on asking for an example of an act out of my independent volition.
A perfect example of something that I have done is created a computer program.
I challenge you to prove the nonsense you spout or shut your mouth once for all.
Good.
Let's unravel that incident, that event to see how much of it arose from the independent volition of "A"
Why did you create that computer program?
Something appealed to you, and you went berserk on a key board or there was a customer for it?
Someone defined the performance parameters, which the program was to fulfill?
If that someone did not define or even have a requirement, would that act come into creation?
Now the customer's requirement, .......... a thousand other things had to happen, exactly in the way it happened in his/her world, for such a need to be cognized, isn't it?
What volition did you have in .......
A)The events of the customer's world to enable the cognizing a need for himself/his business, such that your computer program would be required
B)that the customer chose you among the thousands of software developers, any of whom he could have as easily approached.
You may say, there is nobody who was driving the project, I,..... A,...... did it for my pleasure.
If so, park this for the time being and we will come back to it.
Let's look at the creation of the software program.
Maybe it's in C++, or Java, or VB(.)Net or XML or CORBA.
Without these tools, or whatever tool you used, could you have created your software program?
Thus your ability to create the software program, depended on the ability and the million man-hours spent through maybe hundreds of software developers coming to fruitation, in the last 15-20 years.
If those million man-hours went up a smoke, as you know happens very often in the IT sector, ..............that particular tool which you used would not have been available to you.
You may say, so what?
I would have used whatever tool was available.
Whatever tool you use, ..............the success of your software program depends on thousands before you, who have worked their guts out and succeeded in coming up with that tool.
Are you getting me?
I am just taking a few strands, to show you, that nothing you do, is a result of your independent volition.
A million things would have had to happen, in a mode of convergence, for your software program to see the light of the day.
Let's take another strand.
You were able to create the software program, because you have some basic knowledge of software technology.
Right?
I mean if you were by vocational training, a plumber, it's unlikely you could write software programs.
What got you into software technology?
You could well have been a bum on the street, doped to your eyeballs.
Or a struggling artist.
Or a teller in a shopping mall.
Someone in the dark history of time, somebody uttered a sound by mentioning "computers" to you..........
.....maybe while walking by, you espied a magazine in a shop with Software written on top.
........maybe as a kid, you saw Bill Gates appear on your TV channel, talking of the billions he is raking in...
That someone in your past, could have mentioned chimney sweeping and maybe that would have intrigued you to take that up that as your vocation/career.
That magazine that you espied could have been the Hustler, and your attention would have been towards a different industry, where the required talents are of a different kind.
Whatever be the actual case, .....
......a chance event sometime in your past, .........
.......converged with the conditioning-in-the-moment in the body-mind complex labeled "A" and enabled a series of actions to occur, focused on the grabbing of the knowledge of software technology.
A chance event, over which you had no control whatsoever, .............and here you are.
Now go back and re-view the possibility, that you created the software program not for somebody, but out of your fancy.............
... .........and the total absence of independent volition can be once again seen.
Out of a whim, out of a fancy,............. it would seem, it's a "you" who is whim-ing away, who is fancy-ing away.
That's hardly the case.
Today neuro-biologists confirm, that the "emotional make-up" of a psycho-somatic apparatus in the moment, ................
.................the "readiness- potential",........
..... such that "decision" is taken as a response to an impacting input from the external environ (aka the sighting of the software magazine in the shop), ..........
..............is totally dependant on the chemical profile present in the synaptic gaps in the brain, AT THAT MOMENT.
They have identified 100 odd chemicals in the synapses, of which 3 appear to play a dominant role (as of today's knowledge).
These neuro-transmitting chemicals are serotonin, dopamine, oxycytin.
The varying percentage levels of serotonin, dopamine, oxycytin, in your synaptic gaps in the moment, ........
......decides who is the candidate for you for "love at first sight",
.......is responsible for your moods aka depression, happiness, grief, love/hatred for your spouse/partner/child
...........something appealing to you, for you to get charged up on a life-mission,
........... feelings, emotions, deeply held ideations about self....
...........spiritual seeking, or seeking to get laid.
Just variations of the neuro-transmitting chemicals in the synapses.
Biological computers labeled ............."Maniac Depressive", ............."Schizophrenic", ..........."Bi-Polar Disorder", ............are seen to have major deficiencies in these neuro-transmitters chemicals compared to what is accepted to be a "normal" profile, (apart from other neurological issues ofcourse)
That chance event, which "appealed" to the body-mind complex labeled A and which enabled the triggering of........... of a process which culminated in a software professional today, .......
...... is an effect of that precise chemical profile existing at that moment, in a particular body-mind complex, .................while that chance event happened.
Nether "you" had any volition over the happening of that chance event, (as I said, the magazine could well have been an excellent pornography).....
...........neither you had any volition over the percentages of the neuro-transmitting chemicals in the synapses.
There is no "you" anywhere, at any point of time.
Neither then, ...............and................neither right now.
Just a functional sentient, conditioned-responsive apparatus, through which functioning is happening, while it is still "alive".
Moment to moment to moment.
That "you" are a software developer, is because there is a body-mind complex, alive, isn't it?
What volition did "you" have in the birth of that body-mind complex?
Once again sometime in the dark history of time,<LOL>..............a sperm and an ovum got together to do a hip-hop and formed a unique DNA-Gene template.
Today the body-mind organism, labeled "A", reading this post on a PC screen, is an out-growth of that DNA-Gene template.
Among the millions of sperm ejaculated during the hip hop, each of which carried a unique DNA coding instruction and the thousands of ejaculated ovum,... once again each carrying a unique DNA coding instruction, .......
......... what volition, what choice,... did you A exercise, in selecting that particular pair, which formed a unique template?
Any of the million possibilities could have happened and A could have well been a pageant queen or a grotesque clown in a circus.
Hell, what volition, what choice,.......... did you A exercise in the choice of your very set of parents?
-Or in their intention to hip-hop, when they did hip-hoped?
-Or in their intention to allow the pregnancy to reach full term and not go in for a clean-up act?
On your birth, you had no volition.
On your impending death, you will have no volition.
The brief period in between these two non-volition acts, within which the song of A is being sung, ...........as seen earlier, nothing that occurs in this brief period has anything to do with you.
Or it has at much to do, as the rising sun has to do with the crowing of the early morning rooster.
Sure the rooster is completely convinced, if he slipped up any day, the sun would sulk in a corner.
Sure, many a time the rising sun (actually the dipping earth, creating the illusion of a rising sun), coincides with the crowing of the rooster.
Take any event, any action, any decision, any thought, which you believe, was a consequence of your volition..............
..........and do the unraveling as above.
And see for yourself...........that.........
........The body-mind complex labeled "A" or X, Y, Z, ........does not live.
It is lived.
