You wrote: Understanding arises when there are true listening and true self-observation in relationship.
Therefore, observing oneself in life.

But I wonder..."radical understanding" and the person who would achieve such, aren't they both no more than ideas?

Absolutely.

Expressed, whatever be the medium of expression, "it" becomes ideation, a concept.

No matter what term is used for "it" and no matter through whom "it" got expressed.

However there are ideations, which deal only at the superficial level and there are ideations which go to the core.

All are ideations, all are signatures on flowing waters, including what has/is getting expressed through this instrument,

Is there something which is not 'idea'?

:-)

Even that question is an idea, isn't it?

That there could be something which is not an idea, ........... is it not another ideation?

In a gestalt of ideation, in a conceptual construct, ..........all that emerges are only ideas, concepts.

Aka, in a dream-sequence, .........no matter how profound the questioning and the answering, within a dream, between a "dream-sage" and a "dream-seeker",.......

...... what is the reality of that ado, that hoopla,

........when you awake from the dream and sip from a hot cup of tea, in the morning.

That there is a state of ................."Awakened and sipping from a hot cup of noumenal tea",...

.............is also an ideation, when wondered about it, in a dream-sequence, ......isn't it?
